Link Financial Outsourcing Limited is a UK-based debt purchasing and debt collection company. It buys portfolios of consumer credit debt from banks, credit card companies, and other lenders, and manages the ongoing collection of those debts. It is part of the Pepper Money group.
When Link Financial purchases a debt, it becomes the legal owner. If you receive letters from Link Financial, it means a debt you previously had with another company has been sold to them. The original lender no longer owns or manages that debt.
Link Financial is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and must operate within the FCA's consumer credit rules, which include fair treatment, clear communication, and proper signposting to free debt advice.
You have the right to ask Link Financial for full written details of any debt they are claiming you owe, including the original creditor, the original account number, and a statement of the amount including any interest or charges added. You can also ask for a copy of the original credit agreement.
