How to make a complaint

To help us investigate your complaint quickly, please include:

• Your full name and the email address registered with Ask Fin
• A clear description of your complaint and what happened
• What you would like us to do to resolve it
• Any relevant dates, reference numbers, or supporting information

How we handle complaints

• We will acknowledge your complaint — normally within 5 business days.
• We will investigate it thoroughly and fairly.
• We will send you our full response within 8 weeks of receiving your complaint.
• If we need more time, we will explain why and keep you informed.

If your complaint relates specifically to how we handle your personal data, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113. We would ask you to contact us first so we have the opportunity to address your concern.

About our service

Ask Fin provides general financial information and educational guidance. It is not a regulated financial product, regulated financial adviser, or regulated debt counselling service. Because Ask Fin is an educational subscription service rather than a regulated financial service, the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) does not generally have jurisdiction over complaints about Ask Fin.
